Lambkin cats are a cross between the popular short-legged Munchkin cat and the curly-haired Selkirk Rex. It is believed by some that they resulted from experimental breeding of the two types of cats with the goal of creating a new cat which would be short but would also feature the unique coat of the Selkirk Rex.

This cat has a distinctive curled coat which needs regular gentle brushing, The coat is thick, curly, or crinkled. Lambkin kittens will have curly hair, but their fur will straighten at around 16 weeks of age (some will even lose their fur). Then, when they are anywhere from 8 to 10 months of age, the fur will become curly again.

The tail is long, curved, and fluffy, and it often tapers to a rounded tip. Also, as you would expect from a dwarf breed, these cats will have short, thick legs. But the short legs are on a long body, and the hind legs will be taller than the front legs.

The Lambkin cat has a small to medium sized body. Their chest will be full, medium-long, round, and broad. These little cats feature a round face and beautiful round eyes.

As with both of the breeds that the Lambkin cat comes from, they can have either short or long fur in a variety of colors. In fact, you can find these cats in just about every color and pattern for domesticated cat breeds.
Lambkin cats are generally outgoing, social cats that love interacting with people.
